As for phpBB experience, I do have some - I currently manage day-to-day a phpBB forum with roughly 200 members as the sole administrator. We're currently trying to make contact with Adam over the old database and the domain. We're also preferring to keep it to the old phpBB design and have as much like the old as possible if it is impossible to retrieve the database. So craftbison and jordan, hold your horses for a little while at least. But if either of you have any php experience it'd be appreciated.

Cheers guys

jonnysteadismagic@hotmail.co.uk if you want to email me about anything.Larrynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-1165402197988619262006-12-06T10:49:00.000+00:002006-12-06T10:49:00.000+00:00And who are you?crafty bisonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-1165387043388364702006-12-06T06:37:00.000+00:002006-12-06T06:37:00.000+00:00I supposed thats one reason to create a fan forum. I have some experience with forums (though never as a vB administrator) and time on my hands over Christmas, so get in touch if you want help (pierre.hyde@gmail.com) and let's get this started.

I agree with keeping AND as the name, and I think we can draw up a list of (reliable and sensible) regulars from the old AND to be first on the list to be moderators.crafty bisonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-1165360638031652012006-12-05T23:17:00.000+00:002006-12-05T23:17:00.000+00:00That's bloody ridiculous. Dozens of us have offered to pay the hosting, generally with no response. Furthermore, the creator having no/little internet access is no reason to remove a resource from an entire community. I don't care that he can't enjoy his creation anymore; shame, but that's no reason to disallow the rest of us from continuing the good community that had been created.crafty bisonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-1165352095481693142006-12-05T20:54:00.000+00:002006-12-05T20:54:00.000+00:00i really miss it
i want it back!!!]

now i have nothing to do it when im bored at 10pm. i cant watch tv, it is crap and no one is on MSN :(*Laura*noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-1165292324432895662006-12-05T04:18:00.000+00:002006-12-05T04:18:00.000+00:00I think we just need to keep Alwaysnewdepths as the name. While the official's going quite well for now, who knows when it'll descend into hell. A lot of official forums for bands just seem to go that way, and if you wanted any help with the development/maintaining thing, I have a little phpBB experience.Caseynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-1165281765221206752006-12-05T01:22:00.000+00:002006-12-05T01:22:00.000+00:00Really is a shame.I wont even bother with the official.Hope this isnt the last from AND and that we might see another unoffical forum soon enough.Cheers to Adam for his work and the others.

:(Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-1165279679614994572006-12-05T00:47:00.000+00:002006-12-05T00:47:00.000+00:00!Dr. Scarecrowhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14643894511785274312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-1165275319322867582006-12-04T23:35:00.000+00:002006-12-04T23:35:00.000+00:00GUYS, If you still want an unofficial Bloc forum. I'll happily create it.

I have a lot of experience with vbulletin (which costs me a yearly fee, but is far superior to phpBB - much nicer to use). I set up and co-run the site http://newbtalk.co.uk - a site for discussions by people of my hometown. And I had just started getting into AND - I was a newish user of about 6 months but visited often.

I could try and get the domain alwaysnewdepths.com again or go for a new name and of course i would sexify the forums to make them all bloc related. I'd also need to have some mods.

Just wondering if people would actually use it or are they now happy with just the official one?

Feel free to email me about this to
jordanburgess [AT] gmail [dot] comJordanhttp://newbtalk.co.uknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-1165270928661330022006-12-04T22:22:00.000+00:002006-12-04T22:22:00.000+00:00BTW If it wasnt for the fact I'm moderating on the official forum now I would've helped set up another forum.
