I'm all for experimentation (heck, my favourite band is Radiohead and they know a thing or two about it), but this is the wrong direction. I loved Flux, but vocal samples and horrible synth brass is not the way to go. The sound I want from Bloc Party is the sound of the melodic melancholy of England, the glorious simplicity of Rhododendrons and the epic energy of Atonement. I don't want a bloody Pendulum song.Davidnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-10376793686722077312008-07-13T15:50:00.000+01:002008-07-13T15:50:00.000+01:00um...jazz fusion is not mainstream and it serves as the primary backdrop in this song.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-46831374534840894072008-07-12T10:53:00.000+01:002008-07-12T10:53:00.000+01:00I Agree with luke.

Its not a good change, its too main streem.

Von, grow up and fuck off.Jamesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-89475675273424545432008-07-11T20:51:00.000+01:002008-07-11T20:51:00.000+01:00Luke.please die.thanxxxxxxxxVONnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-74477562699608142932008-07-09T10:17:00.000+01:002008-07-09T10:17:00.000+01:00yh i agree with jwright777, if u had the same sound evrytime i dnt think Bloc would be as gd as they are or as popular. People keep goin on about goin back to just the instruments like SA, and the 'spikey guitar' but uve got at least 20 songs like that. AWITC wasnt much different it was still the same sort of sound just with 'added bits', and its only been Flux and Mercury that have been different. As much as id like them to be similar to the SA sound it probably isnt goin to happen, believe it or not things do change!DANnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-6264112735642328452008-07-09T06:03:00.000+01:002008-07-09T06:03:00.000+01:00luke,

bands can't repeat the same sound over and over, or at least the good ones can't...sounds get stale when they're repeated
Though I have to agree I wish the rest of the band were more prominentjwright777http://www.blogger.com/profile/03583819845632611867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-28159988639503493782008-07-08T19:09:00.000+01:002008-07-08T19:09:00.000+01:00I Don't like the direction they seem to be taking...

Its going so mainstream its scaring me.

I want the old bloc party.
The bloc party with the cryptic lyrics, the god on guitar that is russel, and the drumming of that one and only matt tong.

I Don't want dance music from an indie band, if i hear flux in a nightclub like jumpin jaks its not right.

GO BACK TO HOW IT WAS.
GO BACK TO WHAT YOU ARE.Lukemyspace.com/lukus89noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-67106960361084881932008-07-08T11:39:00.000+01:002008-07-08T11:39:00.000+01:00The zane lowe video doesn't work :(
the mercury video is amazing :D
xxEllen Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06571546983711840901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-30296799069853248872008-07-08T05:19:00.000+01:002008-07-08T05:19:00.000+01:00This is the weirdest video I've ever seenNicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11379686206231847016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17621507.post-23433124504958210002008-07-08T03:03:00.000+01:002008-07-08T03:03:00.000+01:00i like it but the video is a bit a weirddabrownsoundnoreply@blogger.com
