Sunbloc

Bloc Party played to a packed crowd underneath the intense Californian sun at Coachella yesterday, lacing their ten song set with a couple of newies.

The full setlist was:

Waiting For The 7.18
Positive Tension
Banquet
Blue Light
She's Hearing Voices
Uniform
This Modern Love
Like Eating Glass
So Here We Are
Helicopter

Download: 'Uniform' (Coachella Valley Music Festival, 30.04.06)

This audio recording is extremely good quality - thanks to Drew from A.N.D.! I've also made an attempt at the lyrics...go here.

If any more recordings surface, I'll post them up!

Edit: Here's a good quality recording of 'Waiting For The 7.18' (apologies for the slight skipping in the middle). Credit goes to Owen Rees for sending me the file.

Comments:

I got the whole show, but had a drop out during "Uniform" (I notice the recording you posted doesn't!) and a slight dropout during "Waiting for the 7.18" and "Positive Tension"-any chance of getting uninteerupted recordings of those also?

I stayed up til 4am and watched the whole gig on AT&T Blueroom. Very impressive, the new stuff sounded as great as the stuff on Silent Alarm. Thanks for linking me to The Blueroom.

Is this the direction Bloc Party is going with with their music? Because the only song I really like out of the new stuff so far is "Hunting for Witches" and "Uniform"--which both of these are INCREDIBLE. I can't stop listening to "Uniform". But the rest of it is ok, it's like the quiet stuff of Silent Alarm only not as half as good. I pretty much liked everything on Silent Alarm. I liked the quiet stuff, but man! I want another "Positive Tension". That was a wonderful song.

Thanks for putting them up in the lyrics section Jim. It was pretty good show. I'm glad they chose to play Uniform. Awesome song! The new album looks very promising!

Just to let you know Jim, your Uniform download link doesn't work for some reason. I don't know if its just my computer or not.
